Course Description

For a society to function well, it must have peace while allowing its citizens to pursue their goals in achieving a satisfactory life experience.

This IB course examines Germany's social organization, which refers to the patterns of relationships between people, how they organize themselves, and how they choose to get things done efficiently and successfully.

We start with their form of social organization, which supports the society's values. This includes the education system, how Germany prepares its people for the workforce and the expected behavior of employees and colleagues. The government plays a large role in labor and business policies currently impacted by Germany's labor shortage. Germany depends on successfully integrating immigrants to fill over 400,000 open jobs.  Even changing the retirement age is being considered to help retain employees.

Perhaps you will consider moving to Germany to take advantage of its free post-secondary education, willingness to integrate foreigners, many career opportunities, and the comprehensive and inexpensive healthcare system.
